Having already introduced the bags from the Monogram Rayure collection, here’s your first look at all the perforated pieces from the Cruise 2012 Womens Louis Vuitton collection. Created in collaboration with Sofia Coppola, she was the muse, infusing the collection with her own ideas and desires.
And as far as the perforated pieces go, there are 3 different bags available, each unique in their function.
For starters, the largest of the trio, the perforated Saumur in bright solid hues, available in Red (shown above) as well as Blanc. If the specifications are exactly the same as the original, it will measure 30 cm, with two separate compartments with their own flaps on the front and the back. Slight updates have been done to it though, including it now being held together with stud closures as opposed to the buckles that came with the original.
Besides the ones in solid hues, you’ll also find the ones in Monogram Canvas with piping along the edges in Bleu. Say what you like, but I’m personally liking this variation a little more, perhaps due to the fact that I’m loving the contrast on it better.
Next, the smaller Saumur-like sling bag, known as the Chantilly which was discontinued for the longest time before it got revived for this collection. Resembling a semi-circle with a pointed base, the new variation comes with its own little luggage tag at the side which is a nice touch.
Last but not least we’ve got these clutches which are simplified variations of its bigger sibling the Saumur. Simply known as the Clutch, these will come in handy when you’re, say, attending a wedding by the beach or some occasion that’s bright and breezy.
No word yet on the official prices but they look set to be released during November/December in Singapore. Do stay tuned for more updates.
